Meet Our Employees: Gavin Carey
We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing staff, so we’ve decided to put faces to the names of those who keep our business going. Let us introduce you to Gavin Carey, our Cork Showroom Manager.
We like people to know that we are not just a website or a showroom from time to time which is why we have decided to put a face to the names you might hear when contacting Bathshack. This one is Gavin our Cork Showroom Manager.
How long have you worked at bathshack:
Just over 3 years
Tell us a little about your day to day role:
My main role is helping to run the Cork showroom on a daily basis, but I am always on hand for anyone who needs questions answered from any other part of the business. A day to day in the Cork showroom consists of answering the many phone calls from customers we get, go through quotes for any customer that walks in, maintain the tidiness of the showroom, keep on top of any open quotes to try and hit our monthly target, and at the moment help come up with new and different designs for our showroom extension.
What do you enjoy most about working at bathshack:
The family aspect of the business in my opinion is the best part about us. I also love how anyone from any aspect of the business can pick up the phone to senior management if they are in trouble or need help and can be given that help freely.
What advice would you give to someone renovating their bathroom:
Always try and get a tradesman to call out first before setting your heart on anything in particular, as sometimes some things just cant be done, or can be done for a huge cost. It’s always good to know what your options are before deciding on anything for certain, but calling in to us to get a few ideas is always a good start too. Also, try not to over complicate things – less is more with a lot of bathroom designs these days.
Give us one word your colleagues use to describe you:
Dependable
When you’re not at work what do you enjoy doing:
Spending as much time as I can with my 2 year old daughter mainly.
Favourite Book:
Does Face’Book’ count? LOL
Favourite TV show:
House or The IT Crowd
Favourite bathroom trend of 2019:
A good mix of Navy and Grey in a modern setting works very well
