Meet Our Employees: Jamie Smith

We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing staff, so we’ve decided to put faces to the names of those who keep our business going. Let us introduce you to Jamie Smith, our SMT Support Manager.

As a personable, family-owned business, we would also like to introduce some of our key staff to you, the customer!

Our SMT (Senior Management Team) Support Manager Jamie Smith started with Bathshack back in September 2018 as a Sales Executive in our Ballymena Showroom. He then joined our Telesales department, where he quickly became a senior member of the team after a few months. This exciting variety of roles has helped him develop his knowledge and progress within the company. We caught up with Jamie so he could tell us a little more about himself and his current role!

Tell us about your role

My current role is the SMT Support Manager. I assist the Senior Management Team with anything they need help with and I have procedures and checks I need to complete for them on a daily basis. At this moment in time, I am involved with Peter (Managing Director) and Ryan Dunlop (Head of Business Improvement) with selecting the ware that is to be displayed in our new Antrim Showroom. It’s great to be involved in something that our customers will see first-hand!

What do you enjoy most about working here?

It’s all about who you work with! There is a real family ethos that has been built from the start and it has always been very important to me. It’s great to work for a local, family-owned company, as you can always put a face to a name. Plus, I really feel that everything I do makes a difference to the day-to-day running of the company.

Would you recommend working for Bathshack?

110% - it’s the best job I have had!

Give us one word you think your colleagues would use to describe you

Approachable! I am always on hand to any of my colleagues to help no matter what, at any time of the day.

What’s your favourite bathroom trend?

Hexagon Tiles! They come in so many different colours and styles, there is something for everyone.  I’m also obsessed with Brushed Brass.

Tell us something about yourself.

I’m getting married in October this year to Christine from our Customer Service Department, so I’m sure there will be ducks of some description present - the countdown is on!
