As Ireland’s largest horse racing festival fast approaches, the Bathshack team is busy
getting ready for the second year of our sponsorship deal with the Galway Races Summer Festival.
Our sponsored race for 2023 is once again the Bathshack Maiden Race of €17,000 for three-year-olds and up, which will
take place on the track at 3.40pm during The Weekender (Saturday, August 5). Races kick off at 1.55pm, with the
Bathshack Maiden Race the fourth of the day. The winner will subsequently be presented with a trophy from our Head
of Operations, Connor Dunlop.

“We’re delighted to be back at the Galway Races this year,” said Lorraine Kelly,
Bathshack’s Marketing and E-commerce Manager. “Last year’s event was a great success and we can’t wait to show you
all what we have in store for this one. The Galway Races is a well-known event throughout Ireland and see many
traveling from all over to enjoy the day. Events like this are great for business as it allows us to expand our
awareness within more areas in Ireland.”
The Galway Races Summer Festival 2023 runs from July 31 until Sunday, August 6 and features a range of activities
alongside the main racing events. These include a Country Music Day and Ladies’ Day, with lots of hospitality
options, competitions and other fun things to do.
Amongst these will be a number of Bathshack activities for visitors to enjoy, including our King and Queen of the
Throne competition. With hundreds of Euros’ worth of prizes to be won, participants will have to aim well
and attempt to throw a Bathshack duck into one of our waiting toilets … If they do, a reward will be forthcoming!
Meanwhile, our TikTok Spot will encourage Galway Races’ guests to have some fun with selfies in front of our pop-up
banner for the festival – hopefully tagging us with their efforts afterwards. They’ll also have the opportunity to
take part in a Stack the Toilet Roll Challenge, where their task will be to build the tallest tower of toilet roll
within a specified timeframe.

Galway Races Summer Festival.
Chief Executive of Galway Racecourse, Michael Moloney said, “We’re delighted to welcome
Bathshack on board for the Summer Festival. Bathshack has a thriving online business, with eight showrooms here in
Ireland – and they’re expanding here further. The Galway Races presents many great opportunities for sponsors to
engage with a large audience and we look forward to working with the team at Bathshack on making their sponsoring a
great success.”
In addition to all of the above, Bathshack’s mascot, Tubs, will also be on hand throughout Saturday to meet and greet
visitors – and may even take part in an interview or two. There are also reports that Tubs will be joined by a
certain Mr Horse and, of course, there will be lots of interaction with fellow sponsors and businesses who are also
attending on the day.
All in all, it looks set to be a great day at the races for Bathshack, so fingers crossed the weather holds and that
we get lots of great content!
