How long have you worked at Bathshack?

Just had my one-year workiversary!

Can you tell us a little about your day to day role?

My main duty is ensuring the Team Belfast are giving an excellent level of customer service at every stage of the experience... from helping customers plan their needs to converting the sale to aftercare and follow-up. I want us to be a cut above all of our competitors, we already smash them on price so a friendly, knowledgeable service will make us unbeatable.
Even after a quarter of a century in retail (hard to believe with my youthful good looks, I know!) I still buzz off landing a nice sale and helping customers make their dreams a reality.

What do you enjoy most about working at Bathshack?

The thing I enjoy the most is when yet another 5-star review turns up on Trustpilot for Team Belfast! I'm sure we all know how easy it is to complain about something but when someone takes the time to post about how happy they have been with our service then that really does make it all worthwhile and gives you an extra spring in your step.

Can you give a little advice for someone renovating their bathroom?

I always encourage a customer to go for their perfect, ideal bathroom. £50 difference between a FBTW and non-FBTW toilet may seem like a big amount to some customers but this will be their bathroom for years to come, a room they will be in several times a day, and an amount like that soon diminishes. If a final quote is little beyond what the customer was expecting then it can be pared back a little based on priorities... although at Bathshack prices this doesn't happen too often!

What is one word your colleagues use to describe you?

Old... my half-century is on the horizon!

When you’re not at work what do you enjoy doing?

I live in Portrush (I wouldn't live anywhere else!) so I am usually out and about trying to get my 10,000 steps. With maybe a wee cappuccino stop every now and then.

Favourite Book?

I love biographies, especially musicians. I'm currently reading 'Born To Run' by Bruce Springsteen but my all-time favourite would have to be Keith Richards 'Life' which is an extremely entertaining read!

What is your favourite TV show

The Simpsons.
